Abstract

213,148. Cheney, C. W. May 10, 1923. Bags. - A handle for a bag or case is formed from interfitting upper and lower arched metal parts a, c, Fig. 1, of approximately semicircular section, connected together by the ends of the upper portion being formed with extensions a<2> having either reduced ends adapted to be passed from the inside through transverse slots c<2> in the lower part and clinched over, or, as shown in Fig. 9, having side enlargements a<3> adapted to be passed through longitudinal slots c<3> in such lower part. The turned-over extensions provide barrels d for the attachment loops e. The clinched-over parts a<2>, a<3> may be soldered to maintain them in place.
