Abstract

212,095. Cooke, B. W. Feb. 27, 1923. Roller bearings.-Plain bearings of signal-wheels, cranks or the like, employed in railway signaling are converted into roller bearings by enlarging the boss 6 of the wheel, &c. and by inserting therein a bundle of rollers 7. The rollers are temporarily held in a ring-like bundle by internal and external bands 9 engaging grooves either in the middle or at both ends of the rollers. As shown in Fig. 7 the rollers are held together by wires 11, 12.
