Abstract
An electric fan for killing insects has blades which are perforated at their rear to produce a suction force to draw in the flying insects to be killed by the blades when the fan is operating. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Improved electric fan used for killing insects
This invention relates to improvement in electric fan for physically killing insects by a specially designed electric fan in lieu of the customary method of using chemical products which majority of them are poisonous and cause air pollution.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Since mosquitoes and flies are germs carriers and disease transmitters, they are greatest enemies of humankind. People often use insecticide such as D.D.T. or mosquito incense for killing them. Said insecticide are majority poisonous and harmful to human body, especially to the respiratory organs.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
An object of this invention is to provided a physical way for killing the mosquitoes and flies by a specially designed electric fan to avoid using the posionous insecticide.
Another object of this invention is to save the expense on using the insecticide, because the cost for insecticide is much more expensive than the cose on using an electric fan.
Still another object of this invention is that the electric fan also may be used as a cooling device while it is used for killing the insects.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODI
MENT
This invention comprises simply an electric fan (as shown in Fig. 4) having its blades 3 specially designed. Said blades are perforated at their rear half area of each blade as shown in Fig. 3 and 4. Said perforated blades will produce a suction force when the fan is in rotation, so that the flying insects will be sucked into the fan and be killed when they hit the blades. An insect attracting lamp bulb 1 is installed at the center supporting stand of the fan, a lamp shade 2 is used to cover the lamp bulb to diminish the light of the bulb, because the mosquitoes are afraid of a strong light. The lamp shade may be removed when the fan is used for killing other kind of insects, because its stronger light will attract the insects from long distance.
1. An electric fan of the character described comprising a regular number of blades, said blades being perforated at their rear half area of the blades to produce a suction force to draw the flying insects into the blades and be killed when the fan is rotating.
