Abstract

209,973. Herbert, Kershaw, & Co., Ltd., and Timmins, W. S. Feb. 21, 1923. Stair-rod eyes. - A channel-sectioned base member 1 carries a pivoted front plate 2 which is bent at 13 near the pivot pin so that it may be turned back out of the way when the fixing screws are fitted. Two forms are described, one, shown in Fig. 1, the pivot pin 7 is mounted in upstanding lugs 6 pressed up from the base member 1 and' preferably rearwardly inclined, and in the other form, shown by Fig. 5, the web of the base member is slotted and the pivot pin is secured between its flanges. In both forms the base member 1 extends beyond the pivot, and has flat, unbroken surfaces up to and including the end' surface.
