Abstract
A three-phase overhead electric line with split phases comprises wires (4) fixed on metallic spacers (5) forming in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the electric line contours of the cross-sections of the split phases (1, 2, 3). The contours of two split phases (1, 2) form circumferences whereas the third split phase (3) consists of two semi-phases the contour of each of them forming a circumference located coaxially to the circumference formed by the contour of another two split phases (1, 2). The minimal distance between the centres of the circumferences formed by the semi-phases is equal to the sum of the radii of those circumferences and provides for the required electric strength between the phases (1, 2) fixed together with the phase (3) through insulators (7) to the supports (8) the elements of which are located outside the space filled by the phases (1, 2, 3) and the air gaps therebetween.
