Rectal appliances; pumps, syringes, and like appliances.-A rectal plug for treating hµmorrhoids has a central longitudinal duct c, Fig. 1, and branch ducts d leading therefrom to the outer surface. The duct c is filled with ointment, the plug is then inserted into the rectum, and a slidable rod or piston e, Fig. 2, having a handle f, is pushed into the central duct c, expelling the ointment through the branch ducts d.
