Abstract

205,355. Gee, W. Oct. 30, 1922. Fuse-boards. - The fixed contacts engaged by the knife or other contacts of bridgecarrier fuses in a fuseboard are carried within insulators of trough-like form or of U-section so that the contacts are substantially enclosed. As shown in Fig. 2, a bridge-piece insulator 2 is arranged between two insulators 1 of trough form and contacts are secured within the troughs in alignment with contacts mounted in recesses in the bridge-piece, which is formed with a. separating web 3. Connection is made to the contacts in the troughs through slots in the sides of the troughs. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5452/88, 16801/96, 10409/12, 23035/13, [Class 38 (i), Electric couplings &c.], 8546/15, 167,645, [Class 38 (i), Electric couplings &c.], and 174,279.
