Abstract

A pneumatic seat with a flip-over back comprising two parts which can be inflated independently of one another, one of which is longitudinal in shape and the other is round, and which are connected to one another by means of webbing, so that it is possible to flip over the position of one part relative to the other part. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Pneumatic seat with a flip-over back.
This invention relates to a pneumatic seat which has a flip-over back and is particularly but not exclusively suitable for use in inflatable boats.
According to the present invention we provide a pneumatic seat with a flip-over back comprising two parts which can be inflated independently of one another, one of which is longitudinal in shape and the other is round, and which are connected to one another by means of webbing, so that it is possible to flip over the position of one part relative to the other part.
Reference is now made to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure lisa side view of one form of seat according to the invention; Figure 2 is a side view of another form of the invention; Figure 3 is a side view of a third form of the invention; and Figure 4 is a diagrammatic perspective view of the form shown in Figure 1.
The seat consist of two parts, 1 and 2, which can be inflated independently of one another via valves 3 and 4. The two parts 1 and 2 are connected to one another via a webbing 5. In the inflated state, part 1 is longitudinal in shape, with round ends, whilst part 2 is round.
In the form shown in Figure 1, part 1 serves as the seat and part 2 as the back. This back can be flipped over, as is shown by broken lines.
In the form shown in Figure 2, part 2 serves as the seat and part 1 as the back.
In the form shown in Figure 3, the two parts 1 and 2 are separated from one another and arranged one behind the other, so that they serve as a lounger.
It can be seen from Figure 4 that, for this purpose, the connecting webbing may consist of two halves 5' and 5", one of which is attached to part 1 and the other is attached to part 2 and which can be connected to one another, for example by means of cord or the like.
1. A pneumatic seat with a flip-over back, comprising two parts which can be inflated independently of one another, one of which is longitudinal in shape and the other is round, and which are connected to one another by means of webbing, so that it is possible to flip over the position on one part relative to the other part.
2. A pneumatic seat according to Claim 1, in which the connecting webbing between the two parts consists of two halves, one of which is attached to one part and the other is attached to the other part and which can be connected to one another.
3. A pneumatic seat according to Claim 2 in which the webbing parts are connected together by a cord.
4. A pneumatic seat substantially as herein de scabed with reference to the accompanying drawings.
