Abstract
204,692. Bellan, P. R. Sept. 29, 1922, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Kinematograph apparatus.-In apparatus capable of use as a camera, printer, and projector, and utilizing roll films as used in ordinary hand cameras, the bobbin support is connected to an intermittently-driven endless flexible member by which it is moved laterally in one direction, and then in the other direction, the film carried by it being moved longitudinally through the height of one image at the end of each lateral run by mechanism which is operated by relative movement between the support and the endless member. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the bobbin support 2 is slidably mounted on a rod 18 and slidebar 17, and is driven by a handle 5 through toothed wheels 4, 7, an incompletely toothed wheel 9 on the shaft of the wheel 7, a pinion 11, and an endless chain 13. The teeth on the wheel 9 occur in groups, all but one of which cause the support 2 to be moved in steps each equal to the width of one image. One group of teeth 30 causes the pinion 11 to make a half-revolution, and during this movement a rod 14, Fig. 4, which passes through one link of the chain 13 and connects the chain to a wheel 16 on the shaft of a feed roller carried by the support 2, is caused to move through the link of the chain and so rotate the feed roller and move the film through the height of one image. The movement of the rod 14 through the link is produced by a cam 26 when the link moves upwards, and by a spring surrounding it when the link moves downwards. The bobbin support has an exposure slit 19 and carries a supply bobbin 33, Fig. 9, a take-up bobbin 32, feed and pressure rollers 35, 15 respectively, and an endless band connection 31 between the roller 35 and bobbin 32. The shutter 6 is rotated through a pinion 8 by the wheel 7 and comprises a disc having a semicircular aperture and a semicircular plate adjustable over the aperture.
