Incrustation, preventing and removing.-A gum resin such as olibanum is distributed in the boiler water in quantities depending not upon the water evaporated but upon the boiler capacity for a certain period, e.g. several weeks. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) a resin soluble in hot water or a volatile oil containing easily-oxidizing components such as sandal-wood oil is added to the boiler water. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
