Abstract
A tube or profile is loaded into a tube or profile bending device 4 having a mandrel 5, a mandrel rod 6, a chuck 3, and a transport device 7 for movements forwards and backwards of the mandrel 5 and the mandrel rod 6 by movement of the rod or profile laterally into the space between chuck 3 and device 4 while the mandrel 5 is retracted into chuck 3 by device 7. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Device for bending elongate material
The invention relates to a loading device for loading of tubes or profiles into a tube or profile bending device, which is especially provided to work with internal steering by means of a mandrel and a mandrel rod. Although circular loading devices themselves are known according to earliertechnics, it is not known to make use of this loading device in combination with a tube or profile bending device, which is provided to work with internal steering of the tube by means of a mandrel and a mandrel rod.
Thus, the present invention consists in a device suitable for bending elongate material, which comprises bending means, a chuck, a mandrel assembly, a transport device for longitudinally positioning the mandrel assembly for bending and for withdrawing the mandrel assembly after bending, and a loading device for laterally moving the material into line with the bending means; the loading device steers inter wally the material by means of the mandrel assembly prior to bending.
The invention will now be further described with reference to the appended drawing, where one form according the invention is shown as an example.
Figure 1 shows a schematic side elevational view of the loading device and the bending device according the invention.
The device according the invention comprises a bending machine 4, a chuck 3, a mandrel rod 6, which is provided with a mandrel 5, and a transport device 7, which is provided to bring the mandrel 5 with the mandrel rod 6 forward to a work position during a bending operation and to pull back the mandrel rod into the chuck 3 after a finished bending operation.
The invention can provide a loading device 1 in such a way that a tube 2 from a magazine can be loaded between the chuck 3 and the bending machine 4 from the side, from above or from below the chuck 3 and the bending machine 4. The loading device 1 is pivotable around joints by means of, for example, one or more pneumatic or hydraulic pistons 8. Furthermore grip claws are provided at the ends of the loading device 1, which grip around the tube 2 before the loading of the tube 2 and loose the grip from the tube 2, when the tube 2 is brought to the desired position between the chuck 3 and the bending machine 4.

A device suitable for bending elongate material, which comprises bending means, a chuck, a mandrel assembly, a transport device for longitudinally positioning the mandrel assembly for bending and for withdrawing the mandrel assembly after bending, and a loading device for laterally moving the material into line with the bending means; the loading device steers internally the material by means of the mandrel assembly prior to bending.
2. A device according to claim 1, in which the mandrel assembly comprises a mandrel and a mandrel rod.
3. A device according to claim 1 or claim 2, in which the loading device is controlled by a pneumatic or hydraulic piston.
4. A device according to any one of claims 1,2 and 3 for bending piping.
5. A device for bending elongate material substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
6. Tube bending of profile bending device or plant, which is provided to work with internal steering of a tube or a profile and which device comprises a bending machine, a chuck, a mandrel, a mandrel rod and a transport device, which during a work operation is provided to push the mandrel rod with the mandrel to a work position in the bending machine and which after the work operation is provided to pull the mandrel rod with the mandrel into an origin position in the chuck, characterized in, that a loading device is arranged in combination with the tube or profile bending device, which is provided to work with internal steering of the tube or the profile by means of the mandrel and the mandrel rod, whereby the loading device is provided for loading of the tube or the profile between the chuck and the bending machine from the side, from above or up from below of the chuck and the bending machine before a bending operation is started and the mandrel rod with the mandrel together with the loaded tube or profile is pushed forward towards the bending machine by means of the transport device.

Claims (6)
1. A device suitable for bending elongate material, which comprises bending means, a chuck, a mandrel assembly, a transport device for longitudinally positioning the mandrel assembly for bending and for withdrawing the mandrel assembly after bending, and a loading device for laterally moving the material into line with the bending means; the loading device steers internally the material by means of the mandrel assembly prior to bending.
2. A device according to claim 1, in which the mandrel assembly comprises a mandrel and a mandrel rod.
3. A device according to claim 1 or claim 2, in which the loading device is controlled by a pneumatic or hydraulic piston.
4. A device according to any one of claims 1,2 and 3 for bending piping.
5. A device for bending elongate material substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
6. Tube bending of profile bending device or plant, which is provided to work with internal steering of a tube or a profile and which device comprises a bending machine, a chuck, a mandrel, a mandrel rod and a transport device, which during a work operation is provided to push the mandrel rod with the mandrel to a work position in the bending machine and which after the work operation is provided to pull the mandrel rod with the mandrel into an origin position in the chuck, characterized in, that a loading device is arranged in combination with the tube or profile bending device, which is provided to work with internal steering of the tube or the profile by means of the mandrel and the mandrel rod, whereby the loading device is provided for loading of the tube or the profile between the chuck and the bending machine from the side, from above or up from below of the chuck and the bending machine before a bending operation is started and the mandrel rod with the mandrel together with the loaded tube or profile is pushed forward towards the bending machine by means of the transport device.
