Description

SPECIFICATION Educational means for use in electronics training The present invention concerns an educational means for use in electronics training, comprising a circuit panel carrying on its front side the components used in the circuit and connectors, permanently mounted, and a circuit diagram consistent with the circuit, and on the rear side the printed circuit proper.
In prior art teaching means are known in which the components reside either on the front or rear side of the panel and in which the circuit diagram has been drawn to be visible in connection with the components, or at the equivalent spot on the front side of the panel in the case that the components themselves reside on the rear side of the panel.
It is a drawback of these means that they are not perspicuous and clear enough. When the circuit diagram has been drawn continuous to the components, one has to mind the graphic peculiarities and difficulties of the circuit diagram in connecting up the components, and conversely the possibilities existing for connecting the components have to be taken into account in the circuit diagram. Furthermore, the circuit diagram is mostly obscured either by components or by the connecting leads and it is in such cases exceedingly difficult from the completed circuit to read its original circuit diagram.
If, again, the components have been placed on the rear side of the panel, the perspicuity of the teaching will clearly suffer. In that case the readability of the connecting leads going to the connectors plugged into the circuit diagram on the front side will also seriously interfere with the reading of the circuit diagram. Or if the circuit diagram is not presented on the panel at all, the perspicuity suffers due to the fact that the circuit diagram must be obtained from an entirely different source separate from the circuit proper. This also adds to the bulk of educational material.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the drawbacks mentioned and to provide a simple, perspicuous and easy to assemble educational meansfortraining in electronics.
The educational means of the invention is characterized in that the circuit diagram consistent with the circuit has been placed apart from the components and from the circuit. The means affords the advantage that the circuit diagram is always at hand and visible when connections are made.
According to a favourable embodiment of the invention, the circuit diagram on the circuit panel resides on top of the circuit proper. Hereby the advantage is gained that the connecting leads will not interfere with the reading of the circuit diagram.
In a means according to another embodiment of the invention, the numbers of the components on the circuit panel appear both in the circuit diagram and in the first besides the components. The perspicuity of the teaching may then be increased even further, since it is an easy task for the studient to compare with the circuit diagram the connections which he makes.
In a means according to a third embodiment, a perspicuous representation of the pointed circuit mounted on the rear side of the panel is found on the front side of the panel at the equivalent spot.
In a means according to still one embodiment, the circuit panel has been provided with connectors which enable the current supply to be connected on to another similar panel.
One embodiment of the invention is furthermore characterized in that the circuit panel may be placed in a rack which stands free on the table. Forthe teaching of different things different circuit panels may be mounted in the rack.
The racks are easy to put severai together for transport and the panels may be put together by themselves.
The invention shall be described with the aid of an example, with reference being made to the attached drawings, wherein: Figure 1 displays an educational means according to the invention, viewed obliquely from the front.
Figure 2 shows, the educational means of the invention, vieqwed obliquely from behind.
A circuit panel 2 has been mounted to be carried in the guides 3 provided on the rack 1. The circuit panel carries a plug connector4 into which the electric supply member is plugged. With the aid of another plug connector 5 on the panel, the supply may be carried further to another similar means. On the front side of the circuit panel 2 there are visible, furthermore, the components 6 used in the circuit and the plug sites 7, the connecting leads plugged into these accomplishing the the desired connections and measured values. Moreover, a perspicuous representation 8 of the printed circuit 12 proper, which connects together the components 6 and the plug-in sites 7, has been printed on the front side of the panel 2.The plugs 4 and 5, the components 6, the plug-in sites 7 and the perspicuous representation 8 of the circuit combine to form in the lower part of the panel 2 a unified entity, which is here simply termed the circuit 11. The top part of the panel is an entity of its own and it consists of the circuit diagram 9 consistent with the circuit 11.
In the circuit diagram 9, as well as the circuit 11, the numbers 10 of the components 6 have been marked beside the respective components.
It is obvious to a person skilled in the art that the embodiments of the teaching means of the invention are not merely confined to the problem solution presented here and that they may rather vary within the scope of the claims following below. For instance, the written information given on the panel need not be confined to the component numbers alone: it is possible, for instance, to indicate the values of the components in the circuit diagram besides the components. The circuit panel 2 may also be integrally affixed to the rack 1.
