Abstract

202,855. Rollason, C. A. Sept. 9, 1922. Indoor games.-An amusement apparatus for playing a game wherein the operator endeavours to direct a model motor car, sledge, boat &c. through a garage door or other goal comprises a track provided with a series of electric conductors, an electromagnetic means on the model energized by current picked from the track, and an electric switch control manipulated by the operator. The surface of an inclined table 3 is provided with a series of conducting strips 4 connected in groups to the positive and negative leads of an electric supply 6. A switch 23 loosely clamped upon the spindle of a steering wheel 8 affords a means for the operator to make and break the circuit. The rear wheels of the model car make electrical contact with the strips 4 and supply current to a solenoid 10, Fig. 4, thus turning the front axle 14 against the effect of a spring 12 which tends to turn the axle in the opposite direction. By manipulating the steering wheel 8 the operator endeavours to direct the car through a garage door 13. Obstructions may be provided on the track. The spring 12 may be replaced by a weight. The track may be circular, undulating or horizontal. The model may be driven by clockwork.
