Abstract

This invention relates to a method of, and apparatus for, tilting a slag- containing ladle (11) in a controlled fashion, a land-based piston/cylinder unit (28, 29) being selectively coupled to the ladle (or its support structure) at a ladle tilting station (27) to effect this function. <IMAGE>
