Abstract

Apparatus for transferring packaging containers 1 for example tubes of metal and/or synthetic resin provided with screw caps or the like, from a substantially horizontal supply position to a substantially vertical position of use serving for filling and closing, comprises a V-groove member 2 receiving the packaging container and transferable from the one position to the other by means of a lever arrangement. The V-groove member is provided at the lowest point of its support surfaces with a plurality of axially parallel bores 2b which extend at right angles to the longitudinal groove axis and which are adapted to be supplied with suction air through a bore 2d. The bore 2d is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis and may be laterally tangential to the bores 2b. <IMAGE>
