Abstract

The invention relates to plasma confinement within a container having an interior layer containing discrete particles of magnetic material. Preferably the material is applied to the container walls in a layer or may be embedded therein. The material is preferably applied in a magnetic field. The invention may be found useful in several applications, including fluorescent lighting tubes.
