Abstract

Particulate copper, for conventional uses or for fabrication into elongate products by continuous friction-actuated extrusion, is made by comminuting primary cathodes which may be conventionally produced. Comminuting is performed by a granulator of the kind comprising a rotor with at least one blade cooperating with at least one fixed blade to comminute the copper repeatedly until the particles are small enough to pass through a screen bounding the working zone.
