Abstract

An electrical connector includes a first member (1) disposed, in use, at least partly within a bore in a second member (2) and defining together with the second member (2) a cavity (7) into which a conductor (5,6) can be inserted. After insertion, relative rotation of the members causes them to close on the conductor and establish a generally radially oriented clamping force. The first member (1) is made of resiliently deformable substantially laminar material and has a curved configuration in cross-section transverse to the longitudinal axis of the bore. Preferably the first member is of spiral configuration. <IMAGE>
