Abstract

In an integrated fluid coking and gasification process a stream of fluidized solids is passed from a fluidized bed coking zone (29) to a second fluidized bed (41); entrained solid fines are recovered by a wet scrubbing process in zone (89); the resulting solids-liquid slurry is stripped to remove acidic gases; and the stripped vapors (93) of the stripping zone (89) are sent to the gas clean-up stage (97) of the gasification product gas. <IMAGE>
