Abstract

An improved method for separating haulm from a crop comprises placing unseparated haulm/crop material on two opposingly rotating rollers 20, 22 which are resiliently urged towards one another, the axes of the rollers being substantially parallel but inclined at an angle to the horizontal, drawing the haulm between the rollers, allowing the crop, which is necessary larger than the haulm and does not pass between the rollers, to roll down the incline of the rollers, and collecting the crop in a suitable collecting means. <IMAGE>
