Abstract

The spindle 8 of an electric motor incorporates a heat-tube 4 for the transmission of heat from the armature 1 towards a fan 5 mounted on the spindle outside one end of a casing 3. A sheath 6 embraces the casing and the fan to provide for the flow of air, along and over the casing to the other end thereof. The motor may be used in a hand-held shearing, cutting or drilling device, more specifically a sheep-shearing device. <IMAGE>
