Abstract
A multi-break circuit-interrupter assemblage has its voltage-division characteristics determined by having upstanding supporting column structures 15, 16 either disposed slantingly outwardly, in a somewhat diverging "V"-shaped relationship, or, alternatively, vertically-disposed, with the electrical bus-bar interconnection 8A located at the upper ends of the upstanding column structures, and the line-terminal connections 11, 12 therefor disposed part-way down each of the column structures, thus constituting thereby, a somewhat inverted "U"- shaped electrical current path due to the supporting arrangement. The specification also discloses a mounting support comprising an inverted "U"-shaped supporting construction, with the series multi- breaks disposed at the upper horizontal side of or "bight" portion of an inverted "U"-shaped supporting structure. Both arrangements are intended minimize the effects of inherent parasitic capacitance effects, which tend to lead to unequal voltage distribution between the several series breaks. <IMAGE>
