Abstract

A bicycle frame 11 comprises a substantially rigid skin, of for example thin metal, and an internal filling of cellular material such as polyurethane foam. This arrangement allows a considerable reduction in weight of the frame without substantially reducing its rigidity. The frame 11 comprises a main member 22 with peripheral portions 49, 50 of wide cross-section and a central portion 51 of narrow cross-section having recesses 31 therein, saddle and pedal crank mounting brackets 23, 33 being formed integrally with the member 22. The frame is foldable by means of a hinge 30. <IMAGE>
