Abstract

A contact breaker terminal arrangement has a fixed electrically insulating member 25 against which a spade terminal 41 is pressed by the contact breaker spring 22 engaged over a projection 26 on the member 25 locating a conductive pressure plate 31 having a hole therein and engaged by the spring member 22 and urging the pressure plate 31 towards the face of said insulating member 25, end region 33 of the plate extending beyond an edge of said face and being bifurcated and inclined whereby spade terminal 41 is trapped with the lead connection portion passing between the limbs of the inclined bifurcated end region 33, thus resisting withdrawal of the terminal 41 in the direction of the length of the slot in the terminal. <IMAGE>
