Abstract

A bridge scraper for scraping material off a substantially triangular, inclined face of a material heap (3) is disclosed. The scraper comprises a face raking device, a lower end of whim is mounted on a carriage (2). In use, the carriage (2) travels to and fro across the base of the material heap (3). The upper end of the face raking device is pivoted to a beam (11) at a point (10) above the apex of and substantially in the plane of the triangular face and movable along an imaginary extension of the altitude of the triangular face. <IMAGE>
