Abstract

In a conveyor system for distributing packets from two packing machines among the two tracks (14, 16) of a wrapping machine, packets (A1, A2 etc) are fed from the packing machines along respective conveyors (A, B), and delivered by plungers (18) on to an indexing conveyor (10) at every second stoppage period thereof. Each of two rotary pushers (24, 26) associated with tracks 14, 16 respectively operate in every four indexing steps, only after each of two successive indexing steps, either in or out of phase, so that the packets are distributed uniformly to the tracks 14, 16. <IMAGE>
