Abstract

A window frame with reliable rain- proofing is proposed. The frame head (1) of the inventive window frame comprises a horizontal plate (3) with a drain hole (8), and to come below the downside surface (12) of the wall body (2) facing the window opening, a vertical mounting plate (4) which is integral with the horizontal plate (3) at the outside periphery thereof to face the exterior surface of the wall body (2), and two gaskets (7), (10) made of a rubbery material to be placed water-tightly overhanging the space between the exterior surface of the wall body (2) and the vertical mounting plate (4) and between the downside surface (12) of the wall body (2) facing the window opening and the horizontal plate (3), respectively, the latter gasket (10) being positioned inside of the drain hole (8) provided in the horizontal plate (3). <IMAGE>
