Abstract
Aromatic polycarbonates can be provided with flame retardant properties and a crystalline nature by mixing the aromatic polycarbonate with a flame retardant additive selected from alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts of organic sulfonic acids, and a nucleating agent selected from metal salts of carbonic acid and organic carboxylic acids. The compositions can be extruded without the use of solvent.
