Abstract

Thermosetting moulding material in loose granular or powder form is pre-heated before moulding in an electro- magnetic induction oven (5) in a container (2) of porous, resilient and thermally-insulating non-dielectric material, preferably of rigid expanded polystyrene. The invention includes automatic apparatus (3,4) for charging the container (2) with moulding material and for moving it to the oven (5) and from the oven to discharge the material into a mould (7). <IMAGE>
