Abstract

To assist in laying individual bricks, a plate has two prongs projecting therefrom to support the bricks on a previously laid course, the diameter of the prongs being slightly less than the thickness of the mortar joint and the distance 'B' from the underside of the prongs to the top of the plate being equal to the depth of the brick plus that of the mortar joint. A cut-out portion in the plate allows excess mortar to escape. <IMAGE>
