Abstract

A cutting material of the cavity collapse type comprises a main strip 1 of a first explosive material configured to define a channel wall having an inner face 3 which bounds an open channel extending along the length of the strip and an outer face 2, and a second explosive material 4 having a detonation velocity greater than the detonation velocity of the first explosive material, said second explosive material extending along the strip adjacent to the said outer face, being generally symmetrically arranged with respect to the channel and being provided in the form of at least one strip of said second explosive material extending along the main strip. <IMAGE>
