Abstract

A magnetic tape recording/reproducing apparatus with a tape cassette loading mechanism includes a slide plate 60 operable upon insertion of a cassette and means interlocked with the slide plate to feed the cassette into a recording/reproducing position. The apparatus includes a swaying member 70 interlocked with the slide plate 60; a floating member 40 having an intermediate portion 46 abutting against an operating portion 75 of the swaying member and having projections 38, 39 at opposite ends thereof; engaging members 45, 35 disposed in relation to the projections of the floating member, respectively; the projections being adapted to engage with or disengage from the engaging members, respectively, to change over the pivotal points of the floating member; and a lock member 9 for locking the slide plate 60 and a slide frame 8 interlocked with the slide plate 60 and an ejecting mechanism, through the floating member. <IMAGE>
