Abstract
A pair of sliding clasp fastener stringers 17,18 are spread apart and held flatwise against a die 15 with a pair of coupling element rows 64,65 respectively over a pair of clinching grooves in the die. A pair of end stops 54,54 move along an arcuate path 68 of travel from a first position away from the die to a second position just above the die. The end stops when arriving at the second position are forced toward and against the die until they are clinched about the coupling element rows. To enable the end stops to travel along the arcuate path, there is a rocker body 13 having a pair of pockets which are loaded with the end stops at the first position, the rocker body being angularly movable to bring the pockets into the second position in which the pockets face the die. <IMAGE>
