Abstract

At one location to be supervised (as shown), the detection of a burglary at that location automatically places a call to another remote location including giving the telephone number of the supervised location. Where an intercommunication system is placed at the entrance, the operation of the door bell will place a call at the remote location and connect the intercommunication system with the telephone. Predetermined codes may be exchanged between the two locations so as to ensure that the apparatus cannot be controlled by an unauthorised party. An authorised caller may be advised of an alternative number which is automatically called or, the fact that he has called may be recorded. Dialling and other signals are sent as V. F. pulses. Unauthorised callers receive a busy tone. <IMAGE>
