Abstract

An internally illuminated unit which can be secured end-to-end with similar units on a fixed support to provide an illuminated house number or other sign, comprises an electrically insulating base member 1 carrying a lamp 13 and conductors 10 for connecting the lamp, in parallel with the lamps on the other units, to a source of electric current, and a cover member 25 of translucent plastics material which may bear a number or other sign, is fitted over and detachably secured to the base member and is cut away at its ends for the passage of connectors for the conductors of adjacent units. <IMAGE>
