Abstract

Disubstituted piperazines of the formula: <IMAGE> in which n is 1 or 2, m is 0 or 1 and Het is pyridyl, pyrimidinyl, pyrazinyl, thiazolyl or thiadiazolyl each of which may be substituted by one or more C1-C5 alkyl radicals and acid addition salts thereof may be prepared either by condensing <IMAGE> with Het-Hal, in which Hal is chlorine or bromine, or by reacting <IMAGE> and hydrogenizing the resulting enamine with hydrogen, a borohydride or a cyanoborohydride. Pharmaceutical compositions contain the compounds or their physiologically tolerable acid addition salts. These compositions may be used for the treatment of arterial hypertension, circulatory deficiencies in cardiac, cerebral and peripheral area and extrapyramidal motor disorders.
