Abstract

Chemically modified asphalts prepared by reacting an asphalt with a polymerizable vinyl monomer and a rubbery polymer and optionally further reacting with a cross linking agent, such as polycarboxylic acid, an organic isocyanate or an organic polyepoxide, can be used in the treatment of glass fibers and in road paving.
