Abstract

Sulphosuccinamates are claimed having the formula <IMAGE> and rubber latex compounds comprise an aqueous dispersion of a natural or synthetic rubber latex and as a foaming agent an alkyl alkoxy sulphosuccinamate to which is ascribed the formula:- <IMAGE> in both formulae R represents an alkyl group having from 7 to 18 carbon atoms, one of X and Y represents a hydrogen atom and the other represents a sulphate group, n is an integer having a value of from 0 to 5 and R1 represents an alkylene group comprising 2 or 3 carbon atoms.
