Abstract

A suppression device 10 adapted for mounting behind the wheel 5 of a vehicle 1 to reduce water spray on an outer side of a wheel 5 caused by rotary action of the wheel is provided. The device 10 comprises a guidance member 12 providing a passage between an outer side of the wheel 5 and an inner side of the wheel 5. The passage is arranged to draw water spray and/ or air through the passage from the outer side of the wheel 5 as it rotates and release the spray/ air on the inner side of the wheel 5 in order to deposit or direct the spray/air under a chassis 3 of the moving vehicle 1.
