Abstract

In tractor power-take-off mechanism including exchangeable shaft ends 2a, 2b for selective use, when a power- take-off shaft 4 is driven at either of two different speeds through a respective gearwheel 7, 8, the shaft end 2b associated with the lower speed carries a pin 16 which acts through a rod 13 extending along an intermediate shaft 3 on a recessed bar 14 to cause radial pins 13, 14 to project into the path of a clutch sleeve 11 and prevent engagement of the higher speed when the shaft end 2b is in use. A further set of radial pins may be provided so that only the higher speed can be engaged when the other shaft end is in use. <IMAGE>
