Abstract

A moulding paving unit 1 has at least one first groove 3 in the upper surface thereof and at least one corresponding second groove 5 in the lower surface thereof, the or each said second groove extending towards the or each said first groove. The upper face of a unit is a mirror image of its lower face and each simulates a pattern of individual paving elements so that a pattern having an axis of symmetry A can be laid with units 10 or 14 being inverted to form units 12 and 16. <IMAGE>
