Abstract

A sustained-release persulfate material for use in Permeable Reactive Barrier, is characterized in that the material is granular and comprises an active oxidant, a stable curable adhesive, zeolite and water in a ratio by mass of 1:1.4-1.7:0.5-0.7:0.9-1.2. The invention also discloses a method for preparing the above sustained-release persulfate material. The sustained-release persulfate material according to the invention can significantly reduce the dissolution rate of the oxidative solid granules- persulfate in Permeable Reactive Barrier, so that the service life of Permeable Reactive Barrier is extended. The oxidant can include calcium peroxide and the adhesive can include Portland cement and fine sands, and the composition can be used for ground water pollution remediation.
