Abstract
An injectable composition for treating neoplastic disease (cancer) by in situ injection of the cancer comprises a source of manganous ions in an injectable medium. Optional further components of the composition are macromolecular polysaccharides and zinc, calcium, manganese or aluminium triphosphate gels. Suitable sources of Mn<2+> are manganous chloride, carbonate, hydroxide, stearate, guanylate, and hydrogen phosphate gel. The compositions have immunostimulant activity to cause rejection of neoplastic cells.
