Abstract

A droplet deposition apparatus includes one or more servers, which process image data to be printed by a number of droplet deposition modules (such as an inkjet print head) each of the droplet deposition modules is provided with a corresponding controller, the droplet deposition modules and their controllers being connected together by a network, the server(s) thus being able to transfer the image data to the droplet deposition modules via the network; in addition, the controllers for the droplet deposition modules are able to transfer synchronisation data between each other via the network so as to achieve synchronisation of droplet deposition by the modules. A controller for a droplet deposition apparatus is also disclosed.
