Abstract

A zip-like guided screen 10 includes a guide rail l2 and a blind fabric 14. The guide rail 12 comprises an elongate body 16 including a pair of spaced-apart walls 18, 19 defining a keyway 20 for receiving the edge of the blind fabric 14. The keyway 20 is engaged by a zip-like retention device 24 attached to one lateral side of the blind fabric 14. The keyway 20 allows the zip-like retention device 24 to slide in first direction along the elongate body 16, and to resist movement in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction that would separate the zip-like retention device 24 from the elongate body 16. The guide rail 12 also has a reinforcement member 30 which is configured to maintain a predetermined spacing between the pair of spaced-apart walls 18, 19, the reinforcement member is preferably a U shape and is embedded in the elongate body. The elongate body 16 is resiliently mounted in a frame 22.
