Abstract

The present invention provides a portable carrier comprising: at least one basket with rigid walls, a frame, a handle, at least one wheel capable of cooperating with at least one supporting foot to provide a base, and at least one basket wall extender. The carrier or trolley may comprise a base of various shapes, with walls extending up therefrom. The wall extenders may be telescopically housed within the lower walls so that maximum storage and transporting space is provided when required, but the carrier may be easily stored when not in use. The walls and extenders may be made from recycled plastics, and may be partially transparent or provided with holes for ventilation and/or viewing the contents. The handle may form a telescopic spine to which the basket and wall extenders are attached, and the wall extenders may be automatically or manually locked in place. The carrier is particularly intended for providing an expandable means for carrying shopping around a shop or store and transporting said items home.
