Abstract
A pole-piece structure and method of manufacture are provided. The pole-piece structure comprises a plurality of laminae, wherein each lamina comprises at least one magnetic part and at least one metallic and non-magnetic retaining part. The pole-piece structure is particularly suited to high-speed applications.
