Abstract

A door 1 having a first side 4 and a second side 5 with a reinforcing plate 11 located internally between the first and second sides; the reinforcing plate having an aperture which tightly surrounds a locking cylinder 2. The reinforcing plate 11 position at such a distance from the front face 4 that if the front half of the cylinder is snapped off then the remaining portion of the cylinder lock 2 cannot be gripped. The plate may be of steel and secured to the front panel 4 of the door which may be of u-PVC construction.
