Abstract

A structural fixing 101 for strengthening a wall, comprises: an elongate body (201, Fig 1) including a plurality of helical fins 203a, 203b, 203c, wherein at least one of the fins 203a has a greater radial dimension L from the longitudinal axis of the body than the other fins. Also defined is a method of making a structural fixing which comprises the steps of: providing a wire, and drawing the wire through rollers, wherein the faces of the rollers are configured to form the wire into a plurality of fins, wherein at least one of the fins has a greater radial dimension from the longitudinal axis of the body than the other fins.
