Abstract

An instrument mounting 100 for use on a surface is provided, having an anchoring arrangement such as two anchoring points (3) for engagement with respective structures 55, 56 present on the surface. In an embodiment a structural element 101 extends between the two anchoring points and a bearing member (27) is attached to, or formed as part of, the structural element 101, with the bearing member (27) presenting a plurality of spaced-apart bearing surfaces. Alternatively, the location of the bearing member (27) and therefore the location of bearing surface is adjustable with respect to the structural element 101. The instrument mounting 100 is suitable for use with an electronic drum kit and in use the bearing surface of the instrument mounting 100 may substantially prevent undesired movement or creep of the instrument, which may be a kick or bass drum along a surface such as the floor.
